Classes

We offer core classes, workshops, retreats, public readarounds, and outreach programs.

Core Classes

12-week creative writing classes provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals who want to explore their writing voice. Writers are encouraged to tell their stories in any written form they choose: fiction, poetry, journaling, essay, drama, or creative non-fiction. Participants actively practice respectful listening, and careful feedback to create a non-competitive and non-judgemental atmosphere. Weekly classes meet in a small group setting at The Benton House, located at 312 S. Downey Ave. in historic Irvington. At the end of each semester, participants host a public read-around to celebrate their writing.
