Semester Classes

Women Writing for (a) Change Indianapolis offers classes, workshops and retreats that provide a safe and supportive space for women who want to explore their writing voice. Women are encouraged to tell their stories in any written form they choose: fiction, poetry, journaling, essay, or drama. Women Writing for (a) Change participants practice respectful listening and careful feedback to create a non-competitive and non-judgmental atmosphere.

Offered twice a year, semester long courses invite women to make a commitment to themselves and to their writing. Participants are involved in creating a community that will both hold and evoke their words.

Classes are 15 weeks long and two and a half hours in length.
Currently classes meet at The Benton House in historic Irvington located at 312 S. Downey Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46219.

"The gifts are this amazing community of women and the power of their words.  I’m so impressed by the writing and so touched by the stories.” Consciously nurturing the lives and words
